'Potential War Crimes:' Supplying Brutal Saudi Regime with Weapons posted by Jake Johnson via dan, 2018-08-14 22:43:44
Indeed, who really is the guilty party when it is widely known that an oppressive, authoritarian, fundamentalist beheading, murderous regime would utilise advanced weaponry to slaughter -- is it the known murderous regime or those entities that supply it with weapons to mass murder innocents that incur blame and take responsibility? Of course the major offender is the suppliers of the means to slaughter. So now we should ask why are weapons manufacturers more than willing to dispose of their weapons to such regimes? The answer is obvious, amorality and MONEY combined with the pressing need to pay for manufacture through sales. Weapons are not a versatile commodity as they have a limited application, to kill and destroy. (full story)

What If There Were No Official Narratives? posted by Caitlin Johnstone via suzie, 2018-08-13 19:40:10
One of the weirdest occurrences since the post-Iraq invasion is how the mass media has actually gotten less accountable instead of more accountable for its deceptive reporting since that time. (full story)

The Age of Cretinism posted by Pratap Bhanu via cyd, 2018-08-13 17:35:22
IN AN ERA WHERE LANGUAGE HAS LOST ALL STABLE REFERENTS, it is difficult to find a word that describes the tenor of our times. But if, at the pain of gross simplification, one were to choose a word to characterise the times, ‘cretinism’ might not be a bad candidate. This is an age of both moral and political cretinism. The Real Source of the Problem posted by sandy, 2018-08-12 20:31:48
Military police States require two main factors to survive -- to sell their over-produced weapons in order for weapons manufacturers to continue developing newer more efficient devices for killing and destroying, AND/or constant or “perpetual wars.” So now I would ask a very simple question with an obvious answer, which military police State today fits the above description perfectly, a perpetual war doctrine and a manic pursuit of evermore costly weapons? AMERICA of course! Other powerful nations are forced to develop weapons to maintain parity and independence, though they would rather get on with business and trade for the benefit of all. But not America. WHY? (full story)

Nothing Holy and Nothing New(s) posted by trudy, 2018-08-11 21:01:06
The Founders of State Christianity, the Eastern Roman Emperor Constantine, a politician, and his wily mother, who chose all Christianity’s ‘holy’ sites herself, as the Greek gospel narratives were largely pedagogic not historical. She chose a hill, a cave as the likely ‘suitable’ sites for the crucifixion, burial tomb, the garden etc, purely for political expediency, she was aware from pagan cults that ‘sacred’ sites are critical in forming belief systems; and so today her political choices continue to be ‘sacred’ sites though clearly it was all politics designed to manage populations by transferring the costly military rule of Rome to an internalised ideological management system learned from the Jews. Trump and Mattis, enough said about sanity World’s Leading Civilian Killing Nation, USA, Attempts to Claim ‘Moral Authority!’ posted by ned, 2018-08-10 21:05:30
As a measure of the degree of DISCONNECTIVITY the USA has with reality and the civilised world, Secretary of Defense Jim ‘mad dog .. it’s fun to shoot people’ Mattis, openly declared to a group of brainwashed (military conversion) graduates at a Naval War College that Putin (of course) is attempting to “ ...undermine America’s moral authority,” what? The world’s leading civilian killing nation requires no external help trashing ANY authority it may have had. It invades weaker nations based on pretexts and LIES (proven), kills their leaders and millions of innocent civilians, men, women and CHILDREN, STEALS their valuable resources and then pathologically attempts to claim moral authority, give REALITY a break! Trust NAB? Sure Can't! National Australia Bank's (NAB) Duplicity and Deceit Exposed posted by Adele Ferguson via gayle, 2018-08-10 00:12:16
Our sister sites have dealt in detail with NAB's alleged dishonesty and appalling delaying tactics regarding their provable systemic failures and the bank's inability to satisfy citizen complainants, who deserve much better. However, the Royal Commission into the Banks has uncovered a far worse culture that should see the bank nationalised or at the very least gutted of its present senior employees and perhaps closed down. It has been revealed that the bank's sordid actions and borderline criminal internal policies are intentional and characteristic of the bank from the BOARD down to executive levels. (full story)

Arch-neocon, John Bolton -- 'political ignoramus Trump, is easy to play!' Neocons CONCOCT Threat of “Iranian Hackers” to Justify Preemptive “Counterattack” Against Iran posted by Whitney Webb via gus, 2018-08-09 22:37:29
It now is confirmed, the neocons have learned nothing as the public did not follow through on their heinous crimes in duping the USA and its vassals that Iraq had “WMD”, a fabricated LIE, or that invading Iraq would be a “cakewalk,” and that the people of Iraq would welcome US invaders with “bouquets of flowers,” -- give the world a break you lying, mass murdering NEOCONS. The world would soon regret not hauling responsible known neocons before the courts for their duplicitous lying regarding unnecessary illegal invasions of other States which have NEVER posed a threat to the USA or Europe, and which illegal invasions resulted in millions of innocent deaths and tens of millions more displaced persons -- refugees. Victimised and abandoned, Julian Assange The Appalling Failure of Australian Governments to Protect Aussie Citizens posted by darcy, 2018-08-08 23:27:39
It seems that successive Oz governments have forgotten that it’s the PEOPLE, citizens that install them into office, however, no sooner do the elected arrange the furniture in their Canberra offices, all of them, Labor, Liberal and most minor parties, they contract amnesia and neglect their RESPONSIBILITIES and promises made to the people and begin to serve unrepresentative minority elites, which behaviour also happens to involve borderline treasonous affairs with powerful criminal nations, particularly the USA, which maintains its disgusting and deplorable status as the world’s LEADING civilian killing nation. Its many grossly illegal military interventions in weaker sovereign states speak for themselves, the USA has been fully exposed and the real facts of its habitual criminality are easily obtained in the public domain. Whatever you may think of Alex Jones, and opinions vary wildly, he has the right to speak freely and be heard.

Given that Jones sees conspiracies everywhere, which people are aware of, it is those people that should be allowed to form their own opinions on Jones, nutter or whatever. Laughable -- the USA is the Dominant Global Nation posted by trudy, 2018-08-07 08:55:37
Consider that America just lost the Syrian war which it fought with Israel and Saudi supported terrorists, proving that the use of paid proxy fighters is fraught with all manner of problems, the largest being, they LOSE! Therefore we can add Syria to the list of failures with Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, etc; which war in Afghanistan threatens to bleed neocon ambitions like a vampire’s breakfast. It seems that American failures today are the NEW NORM for a nation fracturing from within with numerous internal DIVISIONS/frictions, social and political. Add all the nations America is currently interfering with one way or the the other, sanctions and/or CIA ‘covert’ meddling and the list becomes huge for a single nation to deal with, but that is not the issue, though it’s a sure recipe for national implosion.
