Fifty years ago, exactly one month after John Kennedy was killed, the Washington Post published an op-ed titled “Limit CIA Role to Intelligence.” The first sentence of that op-ed on Dec. 22, 1963, read, “I think it has become necessary to take another look at the purpose and operations of our Central Intelligence Agency.” (full story)

The USA is yet to Realise the Cost of Allowing an Incompetent Buffoon to Lead posted by Robert Fisk via steve, 2018-05-30 22:01:20
As America's influence dissipates worldwide other nations exploit the weaknesses of its leader. Kim Jong Un has outwitted the witless president and Putin moves from one tactical victory to another, notwithstanding China's blistering economic and strategic advances; yet America remains paralysed and in the grip of an idiot completely captured by a tiny group of psychopaths in Washington doing its very best to demolish what has taken half a century for America to build. And so other nations hope and pray that America does not remove the cause of its rapid decline. (full story)

Crimes against Humanity and the Israel-Palestine Conflict posted by Julian Rose via jan, 2018-05-30 08:49:10
In 1975, I worked on a kibbutz called Rosh Hanikra, in Northern Israel. It’s main income was derived from intensive commercial avocado pear production. There were maybe four hundred inhabitants. The social experiment known as kibbutziem grew up after World War Two, when thousands of European Jews, who had survived Hitler’s pogroms, moved to Israel, with the intent of making it their new home. Three Blind Mice, Pence, Trump and Bolton Super Dunces Trump, Bolton and Pence Suckered by Kim Jong Un posted by Albert R. Hunt via dan, 2018-05-28 00:50:35
We should note how immediate the meeting between the two Korean leaders occurred after Trump cancelled the summit as well as the price the USA has paid internationally. Acute tactician and clearly shrewd strategist Kim just won the day.

Kim Jong Un appears very smart indeed. China is stronger and U.S. allies now know not to trust Washington.

Young Military Cadets The Duped Pawns of War posted by Philip A Farruggio via sue, 2018-05-26 23:48:50
She would always have the brightest smile as she stood at the intersection of Avenue T and Ocean Ave in Brooklyn, N.Y. circa 1968. She was our crossing guard and we all loved Mrs. Lombardo. Each morning and afternoon during school days she would greet each and every kid who passed by her post. On Sundays, before and after each Catholic Mass at St. Edmunds church , she would be there, again with that contagious smile. (full story)

Goodbye Saddam Unsettling the NK and US Summit: Threaten The Neocon Libya Solution posted by Binoy Kampmark via gwen, 2018-05-25 00:03:22
For those unaware of what the Libya solution really means, simply refer back to Gaddafi's Libya, where the US and European vassals (NATO) convinced gullible Gaddafi to surrender his weapons of mass destruction. Once he did so NATO and the US immediately stabbed him in the back as they did with Saddam Hussein in slightly different circumstances. Suffice to say that both nations were then bombed to oblivion and their leaders murdered. That's how the West makes deals, and North Korea is acutely aware of the fact. (full story)
