Just 100 Companies Responsible for 71% of Global Carbon Emissions
Tess Riley via jaxie, Tuesday, Oct 15 2019, 9:18pm
Just 100 companies have been the source of more than 70% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions since 1988, according to a new report.
The Carbon Majors Report (pdf) “pinpoints how a relatively small set of fossil fuel producers may hold the key to systemic change on carbon emissions,” says Pedro Faria, technical director at environmental non-profit CDP, which published the report in collaboration with the Climate Accountability Institute. Turkey's Dastardly Plan to Release Jailed ISIS Prisoners
stacey, Friday, Oct 11 2019, 8:56pm
Up to 10,000 (mainstream newswire) captured ISIS prisoners are incarcerated in Syrian Kurdistan, which prisons, under the cover of Turkey's illegal invasion of sovereign Syria, have been directly targeted by the Turks in order to free their ISIS allies. It must be remembered that Turkey assisted ISIS selling Syrian stolen OIL during its occupation of Syria prior to Russian assistance, so any notion that Turkey is not allied with ISIS is garbage. Erdogan's family directly benefited from this relationship in oil sales by allowing tanker routes from Syria into Turkey and then exporting the now laundered oil from its coastal ports to the world; $millions in profits was going directly to ISIS leaders and Erdogan's family members – so why be shocked by these verifiable FACTS? It's the way of this thoroughly corrupt world and rotten mass media that never reports the TRUTH, only distractions, omissions and shaped 'news'.

Stock Market Crash of 1929 Redux
F. William Engdahl via janice, Wednesday, Oct 9 2019, 9:34pm
Despite proclamations to the contrary, the true state of the US economy is getting more precarious by the day. The Fed policies of Quantitative Easing and Zero Interest Rate Policy (ZIRP) implemented after the 2008 crash, contrary to claims, did little to directly rebuild the real US economy. Instead it funneled trillions to the very banks responsible for the 2007-8 real estate bubble. That “cheap money” in turn flowed to speculative high-return investment around the world. It created speculative bubbles in emerging market debt in countries like Turkey, Argentina, Brazil and even China. It created huge investment in high-risk debt, so called junk bonds, in the US corporate sector in areas like shale oil ventures or companies like Tesla.

Any Nation or People that Trust the Duplicitous, Self-seeking USA Deserve What they Get
ned, Wednesday, Oct 9 2019, 8:51pm
Self-proclaimed Sultan of Turkey, Erdogan, has just invaded the Kurdish region of Syria, which idiotic action will have numerous disastrous repercussions, primarily with the sovereign Syria government, as this foolish action is an act of war and with ally Russia, Syria must deal with this outrageous invasion immediately, notwithstanding that the American puppet Kurds have been stabbed in the back by America that promised them the moon in exchange for their services fighting Assad, only to abandon them to the Turks led by unhinged, megalomaniac Erdogan. And all this in full view of recent history, that is, America once AGAIN abandons an ally; consider the fate of allied Iraq led by Saddam Hussein in the long war against Iran, and when it failed, America, true to form, expeditiously stabbed Saddam in the back and had him gruesomely executed. Not to mention the Mujaheddin of Afghanistan dumped after they served the US/CIA fighting Russian invaders.

No Progress or Peace until Social Contradictions are Resolved
jaxie, Monday, Oct 7 2019, 9:09pm
What do people everywhere want? Peace and a tenable, harmonious, sustainable life. The earth freely provides everything we need to live so where's the problem? Where's the problem indeed, and if you fail to locate or see it, YOU will never have peace, harmony, stability and freedom in your life.

A year on from Jamal Khashoggi’s murder Saudi Arabia is lurching towards hysterical Chaos

The Fed Is Injecting $100 Billion a Day in Emergency Loans to Unnamed Big Banks
Pam and Russ Martens via greg, Saturday, Oct 5 2019, 10:04pm
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York first initiated its emergency overnight loans to Wall Street this year on Tuesday, September 17, starting off at the rate of $75 billion daily. It then increased its loans by adding, in addition to the $75 billion daily, 14-day term loans in the amount of $30 billion to be offered three times this past week. But after the demand for the first 14-day loan was more than double the $30 billion offered, the New York Fed boosted the next term loans to $60 billion and increased its overnight loans to $100 billion. Iran Is China’s Secret Weapon for Killing off the US Dollar’s Global Reserve Status
Federico Pieraccini via gayle, Saturday, Oct 5 2019, 9:27pm
There is a strong current of change affecting the international political arena. It is the beginning of a revolution brought on by the transition from a unipolar to multipolar world order. In practice, we are faced with the combination of several factors, including the application of US tariffs on Chinese exports, Washington’s sanctions on Iran, US energy self-sufficiency, the vulnerability of Saudi industrial facilities, and Iranian capabilities for resisting US attacks, as well as its exportation of large quantities of gas and oil to China. Everything converges on one factor, namely, the looming decline of the US dollar as the global reserve currency.

Twitter Employs Professional "Psyop" Propagandist as Executive
Caitlin Johnstone va stella, Friday, Oct 4 2019, 10:26pm
Ian Cobain of Middle East Eye has published an exclusive titled “Twitter executive for Middle East is British Army ‘psyops’ soldier,” exposing Twitter’s senior editorial executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa as someone who also works for an actual, literal propaganda unit in the British military called the 77th Brigade. Which is mighty interesting, considering the fact that Twitter constantly suspends accounts from non-empire-aligned nations based on the allegation that they are engaging in propaganda. Anti-Trust Hits Tech Giants
Jonathan Tepper via reg, Thursday, Oct 3 2019, 12:30am
CIA financial support, which of course included shaping policy and direction of two Tech Giants, Facebook and Google, each with a stranglehold today on two aspects of critical digital media, social media and search respectively, suited the CIA well as it loves complete control. Readers would note that both companies eagerly complied with 'government' (CIA) policy on censoring information which 'they' deemed unhelpful and inappropriate to THEIR interests, hence any site that publishes Truth was/is immediately targeted for backgrounding on Google and complete banning on Facebook, well done CIA and the CFR. Three Saudi Brigades Annihilated in Devastating Houthi Offensive
Federico Pieraccini via cyd, Monday, Sep 30 2019, 9:58am
Saudi punk prince M B Salman just had another lesson taught him about clinging to the apron strings of the USA and spending $billions on inferior US weaponry. Yes indeed, the latest Houthi attack in Saudi Arabia annihilated three Saudi brigades putting an end to any notion that the previous attack on a Saudi oil installation was a fluke or that another nation was responsible. Middle Eastern and lackey Gulf nations now realise they are allied to the wrong nation and watch them turn as quite clearly America has lost the new cold war against Russia and China, which means America is fucked, pure and simple. Sworn Statement of Ukraine Prosecutor General that He Was Forced out of Office by US VP Joe Biden
Paul Craig Roberts via joyce, Sunday, Sep 29 2019, 10:46pm
Here is total proof that it was the utterly corrupt Joe Biden, a criminal that the crazed Democrats want to elect as President of the United States, who threatened the President of Ukraine, Poroshenko over an active investigation into his son's (Hunter Biden) 'business' dealings in the Ukraine. After forced compliance Biden then released one billion dollars to Poroshenko.
It should alarm every American that the mass media buries the real story and shrilly proclaims a false narrative to protect the GUILTY. Our nation is being stolen in front of our very eyes and it won't stop with this scandal as it's par for the course in Washington and every other major political capital in the WORLD. All western so-called 'democracies' are rotten to the core.
Tell me when you've had ENOUGH, people! Or continue to eat shit and be DECEIVED if you FAIL to ACT in your and YOUR respective nation's best interest. (story and 2 images)

'CIA Whistleblower' is a Contradiction in Terms Dimwitted Americans
lex, Saturday, Sep 28 2019, 11:46pm
It's laughable to read the NYT, allegation that the 'whistleblower' responsible for compromising leaks resulting in impeachment proceedings against Trump, is acting in the interests of the people as the entire WORLD knows the (CIA) criminal organisation very well indeed. This is NOT an exercise in protecting the public/nation, it is what it is, a PLANNED agency tactic to remove Trump from office and trash any chance he has of winning the 2020 election – plain to see if you are able to assess historical and current REALITY.

Stop the Machine, NOW!
Kevin Zeese and Margaret Flowers via jude, Friday, Sep 27 2019, 8:57pm
As the United Nations General Assembly conducts its fall session, Popular Resistance is in New York City for the People’s Mobilization to Stop the US War Machine and Save the Planet. Themes of the mobilization are connecting militarism and climate change and raising awareness that the United States regularly violates international laws, including the United Nations Charter. These laws are designed to facilitate peaceful relationships between countries and prevent abuses of human rights. It is time that US ruling elites are flushed out and held accountable for all their KNOWN crimes against humanity.

Begin with Impeachment But End with a Reformed Democratic Society
Chris Hedges via gayle, Friday, Sep 27 2019, 7:53pm
Impeachment is about cosmetics. It is about replacing the public face of empire with a political mandarin such as Joe Biden, himself steeped in corruption and obsequious service to the rich and corporate power, who will carry out the same suicidal policies with appropriate regal decorum. The ruling elites have had enough of Trump’s vulgarity, stupidity and staggering ineptitude. They turned on him not over an egregious impeachable offense—there have been numerous impeachable offenses including the use of the presidency for personal enrichment, inciting violence and racism, passing on classified intelligence to foreign officials, obstruction of justice and a pathological inability to tell the truth—but because he made the fatal mistake of trying to take down a fellow member of the ruling elite. Decaying Militaries
Fred Reed via mitch, Friday, Sep 27 2019, 12:14am
Unused militaries today spell antiquation therefore loss. Simply look at a bunch of ragtag Houthis, Afghanis and before them Vietnamese that have made a monkey out of US military supremacy, a MYTH today. How is it that the Taliban is not able to be defeated in the field, or the Houthis against billions of dollars in the latest US weaponry, which failed to prevent a devastating attack on Saudi's most crucial economic infrastructure? The answer is plain, America, largely due to profit seeking weapons corporations look FIRST to the bottom line and all else becomes secondary, whereas other nations have their survival to think of, therefore it reduces to profit vs survival and it doesn't take a genius to work out which motivating force wins.
The American navy is antiquated, multi-billion dollar US carriers, once the pride of the fleet, are today reduced to floating steel coffins by Russian and Chinese hypersonic anti-carrier missiles built at an infinitesimal cost in comparison.

Globalising 'Artificial Intelligent' Surveillance
Binoy Kampmark via gus, Wednesday, Sep 25 2019, 11:12pm
They all do it: corporations, regimes, authorities. They all have the same reasons: efficiency, serviceability, profitability, all under the umbrella term of “security”. Call it surveillance, or call it monitoring the global citizenry; it all comes down to the same thing. You are being watched for your own good, and such instances should be regarded as a norm.
