trumpworried.jpg image Is His Asia Pullout Trump's last Death Twitch? Tom Luongo via stacey, Monday, Dec 24 2018, 8:20pm
With his shock announcement of a rapid pullout of all US troops from Syria and Afghanistan Donald Trump finally became President. The neocons called him that when he bombed the Al-Shairat airbase in April 2017, a move I said at the time was the biggest geopolitical blunder in years. (story and 1 image)

text 7000 US Troops to leave Afghanistan ned, Monday, Dec 24 2018, 7:12pm
The no-win war in Afghanistan appears to be grinding Washington into submission. Hot on the heels of Trump's Syria withdrawal, Trump ordered a massive reduction of the US troop presence in Afghanistan; it appears that half the occupation force -- 7000 troops -- is to return home either for redeployment, most likely, or for other political reasons, namely, Trump is desperate to appease his support base as other forces close in to unseat his presidency. Though informed opinion, considering war hawks Bolton and Pompeo are advising Trump, would indicate that things are not what they appear to be. A possible aggressive engagement is either planned for Ukraine and/or Iran -- we shall see.

'Nuts' image The Parasitic Military Industrial Complex is in Financial Collapse Due to MISMANAGEMENT Alan MacLeod via sean, Sunday, Dec 23 2018, 9:20pm
$21 Trillion is unaccounted for by auditors of the Pentagon national (vampire) 'defense' system. This staggering figure is the DIRECT result of OUTSOURCING weapons development to the private sector and creating Huge security problems in the process. This corporate slush -- over $700 billion today -- funded system, where every external company goes for the money first, NOT the most advanced COMPETITIVE weapons development, will be the ruin of the nation if not remedied immediately. Even political dunce, but financially aware, Trump, criticises the enormous annual Pentagon budget as "crazy;" as a businessman he is right especially if we compare the Pentagon budget to other nations, which US budget exceeds all other nations COMBINED. text Oligarchy Is Destroying Our Society and the Planet C.J. Polychroniou via claire, Friday, Dec 21 2018, 9:52pm
Since the onset of the Industrial Revolution, the world has experienced historically unprecedented levels of growth, with capitalism raising the standard of living of many nations. At the same time, capitalism has generated immense contradictions (exploitation of labor and nature, huge economic inequalities and gross social injustices), and these traditionally have been the main foci of radical political movements advancing the vision of a just socioeconomic order. But is the era of capitalist growth now coming to an end?

text Democracy Doesn’t Work, Period! nano, Friday, Dec 21 2018, 9:10pm
The US democratically elected nincompoop president has recently blindsided many allies and his own military -- forcing the resignation of general ‘mad dog’ Mattis -- by impetuously declaring the US has ‘won’ in Syria and so consequently is withdrawing US troops from the quagmire the US created with its proxy forces in the first instance. Few know or understand what is really behind this move as it appears that war hawk and arch-neoconservative, John Bolton, advised Trump -- who was in real-time telephone communication with Turkish president Erdogan -- that he could begin removing troops ‘immediately!’ What goes on here many have asked and very few understand? However, is it really surprising that a 'democratically' elected political dunce president and reality TV star behaves in a manner contrary to any and all political sense? Answer, NO!

facebookprivacylaws.jpg image Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, Incompetent Manager and Proven LIAR Steven Overly, Ashley Gold, John Hebdel via gayle, Thursday, Dec 20 2018, 8:11pm
It has been revealed that Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, LIED to a Congressional committee regarding privacy obligations. And as such his company is a clear danger to the public; Zuckerberg clearly breached and abused public trust and existing privacy laws. At the very least Zuckerberg must step down, his company's brand and share price plummets as I write today. It is also known that the CIA/deep state supported Facebook in its early stages of development and continues to mine its data for surveillance/monitoring purposes. However, allowing an arrogant, socially incompetent kid to sit at the helm of one of the largest IT companies in the world has proven to be a huge folly as is now well known. It will be interesting to see how the deep state/CIA attempts to salvage one of its data gold mines and precious 'resources.' Details follow: (story and 2 images)

ustroops_sardines.jpg image US to Immediately Withdraw Troops from Syria Nauman Sadiq via jed, Wednesday, Dec 19 2018, 11:23pm
Washington has finally learned that proxy wars are a once only proposition. After the US proxy war on Libya, deemed to be a success by Obama, who boasted that the US was able to accomplish its illegal regime change goal, "without US boots on the ground," it appears the same attempt on Syria has failed miserably. Syria was lost to America and its Jihadist supporting Saudi ally the moment superpower Russia intervened to support its ally. Indeed, the latest announcement from Washington that it intends to withdraw almost all its troops would seem to verify Syria is a lost cause for America. (story and 1 image)

text Pull Your Head Out of the God Fog -- Jesus was a Social Revolutionary/Reformer baz, Wednesday, Dec 19 2018, 9:38pm
Xmas approaches and yet the ‘God’ myth prevails among the Christian faithful to this day -- in other words irrational ‘magic’ has superseded temporal/historical realities; however, with only a slight perspective, gained from withdrawing belief in myths, an entirely new REAL view is EASILY apprehended.

serbian_shield.jpg image Kosovo -- The Untenable Stolen State drew, Tuesday, Dec 18 2018, 7:58pm
Kosovo is the geographic location of the formation of the Identity and nation of Serbia and its Christian slavic people, as history records, and as such it is and will always be SERBIAN, as opposed to the Albanian Muslims that now tenuously claim it as theirs. It's current president Hashim Thaci, is a wanted Interpol listed criminal though America has seen to it that Interpol does not pursue this Albanian known murdering mafia leader, as he serves as an American puppet -- birds of the feather .... Furthermore, the USA and NATO are forced to maintain a presence in Kosovo as recognition of the stolen State by the international community falters as it threatens the SOVEREIGNTY of numerous other nations that have separatist problems. trumpamerica.jpg image Trump, the Quintessential American Chris Hedges via cyd, Tuesday, Dec 18 2018, 6:29pm
Donald Trump is part of the peculiar breed Herman Melville described in his novel “The Confidence-Man,” in which the main character uses protean personas, flattery and lies to gain the confidence of his fellow passengers to fleece them on a Mississippi River steamboat. “Confidence men,” as Melville understood, are an inevitable product of the amorality of capitalism and the insatiable lust for wealth, power and empire that infects American society. Trump’s narcissism, his celebration of ignorance—which he like all confidence men confuses with innocence—his megalomania and his lack of empathy are pathologies nurtured by the American landscape. They embody the American belief, one that Mark Twain parodied in “Pudd’nhead Wilson,” F. Scott Fitzgerald excoriated in “The Great Gatsby” and William Faulkner portrayed in the depraved Snopes clan, that it does not matter in the crass commercialism of American society how you obtain wealth and power. They are their own justifications. (story and 1 image)

As most readers know, I’m not a casual political blogger and I prefer producing lengthy research articles rather than chasing the headlines of current events. But there are exceptions to every rule, and the looming danger of a direct worldwide clash with China is one of them.

text Russia to Set Up Military Base in the Caribbean staff report Tass via jake, Friday, Dec 14 2018, 9:56pm

text The Inequality Gap: Wall Street, Banks, and Angry Citizens Nomi Prins via stella, Thursday, Dec 13 2018, 9:10pm
As we head into 2019, leaving the chaos of this year behind, a major question remains unanswered when it comes to the state of Main Street, not just here but across the planet. If the global economy really is booming, as many politicians claim, why are leaders and their parties around the world continuing to get booted out of office in such a sweeping fashion?

Elegant and deadly, TU-160) image US HYPOCRITICAL Meltdown Over 2 Russian TU-160 Nuclear Bombers in Venezuela Finian Cunningham via gary, Thursday, Dec 13 2018, 8:29pm
Two long-range Russian bombers landed in Venezuela this week and the United States immediately flew into a fit of rage. Top diplomat Mike Pompeo had a virtual mental meltdown on Twitter, denouncing Russia and the South American country for daring to cooperate in holding a military exercise. (story and 1 image)

text Elites Finally Losing Grip -- their mass media/Propaganda apparatus is FAILING jenny, Wednesday, Dec 12 2018, 8:08pm
The chief example of the above reality today is the spontaneous, LEADERLESS, multi-partisan protest explosion of the ‘yellow vests’ in France triggered by extreme taxation measures on fuel, which crucify the average person/worker/public at large, though of course the French “president of the rich,” as he is known to the public, reduced taxes for the super rich -- fair and democratic? Not a chance, as the truly MASSIVE, spontaneous protests indicate.

text The Dis-empowered Against Elite Power stacey, Tuesday, Dec 11 2018, 5:15pm
You can forget the antiquated view of left and right, today the dichotomy is the minority elite haves, and the majority have nots, though this dichotomy could be rendered numerous ways, like the powerless and the powerful, mega-rich and poor, etc. Indeed, money is power therefore the elites are mega-wealthy while the overwhelming majority eat shit or the crumbs that fall from the tables of the mega-rich, ‘trickle down economics’. There are no ideological wars only the real elite driven wars of greed/appropriation/exploitation, against those affected/robbed, think Iraq and oil theft and the millions of innocent casualties. Avaricious elites could care less.

text Identity in Memory: Ascertaining Consciousness beyond Dementia Angel, Tuesday, Dec 11 2018, 9:57am
The author argues that biology is emphatically not destiny, even though medical and business communities have embraced the antiquated 19th century Freudian motto, “Biology is destiny.” This article challenges this outdated notion, and shows how Erik Erikson dismantles this limited perspective. Using Erikson’s life cycle theory, the author argues that all persons, including those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, have a sense of identity despite disease progression. The combination of utilizing a medical and psychosocial model offers a way to provide best practices in treating mind and body for overall health and wellness, despite neural death due to advancing dementias. This article demonstrates the importance of how treating the person, and not solely the disease itself, supports patient autonomy, going beyond a dementia.

text Truth and Free Speech Under Concerted Attack by Criminal Elites gus, Monday, Dec 10 2018, 9:11pm
Remember the feeble excuse the American Deep State utilised to support illegal pan-surveillance, “if you’ve done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about!” The American public took it right up the arse as usual and hence American Democracy DIED from that time.

text Elites (Billionaires) Are the Leading Cause of Climate Change Luke Darby via stacey, Sunday, Dec 9 2018, 10:25pm
This week, the United Nations released a damning report. The short version: We have about 12 years to actually do something to prevent the worst aspects of climate change. That is, not to prevent climate change—we're well past that point—but to prevent the worst, most catastrophic elements of it from wreaking havoc on the world's population. To do that, the governments of Earth need to look seriously at the forces driving it. And an honest assessment of how we got here lays the blame squarely at the feet of the 1 percent.
