Culture Wars – You are NOT who you Think You Are

Have you ever attempted to LOCATE culture? Try it and you would soon find it located in your mind; indeed, culture reproduces and maintains itself in the minds of its subjects. Now, I do not wish to plumb the depths of semiotic theory and linguistics but culture is carried in language/thought and thought, as you are able to test, is language/text based, ie, everything you think, signs, symbols, words etc, is learned from culture and is reproduced by you to reflect culture internally and externally. Indeed, the real battle is the battle for our minds as then the victor is able to create social 'realities' irrespective of whether these 'realities' are fantasy/fiction or fact based. This is largely done subliminally today -- now a brief explanation of that term. Subliminal means that messages are inculcated/absorbed by by-passing the conscious discriminative process, that is by-passing our conscious awareness and our conscious ability to choose and filter.
Subliminal methods/messages were first utilised by the adverting industry and were subsequently BANNED because they do not allow subjects to choose, however, today nefarious IT companies employ 'algorithms' to shape what we think, once again by by-passing our conscious awareness and literally programming us to think and behave in certain pre-determined ways, primarily with the view to selling advertised products, which of course is the principal source of income for these nasty social media IT companies – what do they care if their algorithms stunt and distort the mental capabilities of our developing children as 'they' must make profits. The result of course is mental, therefore social slavery, we become to greater or lesser extents, automatons, NOT free thinking human beings. And we should note that only now after it's almost too late, governments world-wide are addressing this insidious digital persuasion issue and the powers it wields.
These subliminal messages, whether inculcated by digital or any other means, movies, videos, etc, are devastating on our thought process as we imagine that we have thought/chosen whatever has been chosen for us to THINK. I cannot emphasise enough the deleterious effects this has on our minds, particularly on young developing minds, which should never be exposed to smartphones and the like until at least 12 years of age, in fact, the use of these (algorithms) insidious tools/methods should be classified as a crime against free societies and the people – this is the extreme case as people already reflect culture and its values due to the media/communication based socialisation process, notwithstanding subjects must learn culture in order to survive in it; however, that (socialisation) process is subject to our independent will and choice once we mature, therefore it's not insidious like the effect algorithms or other forms of subliminal transmissions that by-pass our conscious discriminative processes. Of course these modern subliminal methods, as is easily appreciated, are an Orwellian/Big Brother wet-dream for slave masters that is why we must ensure they remain banned, as the temptation is far too great due to its ease of application today. Be aware and beware!
To developing resistance/awareness of what would otherwise be behavioural control mechanisms, at least at the level of standard socialisation, as no defences exist to my knowledge that defend against subliminal methods, other than ENSURING they REMAIN BANNED, we must be aware of these processes as our corporate bought and owned puppet governments have clearly FAILED to ensure that subliminal methods remained banned.
By consciously tracing who we think we are, we soon discover that identity, as indicated by personal pronouns, I, me, (mine) he, she, etc, are language based, which (language) is the medium of cultural reproduction, of course everything we think, or rather the content of thought has been learned, in this (socialisation process) at an early stage, we have no choice as we must learn how to survive in our respective cultures; nevertheless the adult mind is then able to assess, discriminate and navigate culture by conscious choice, we are easily able to then adopt or abandon what we have learned while maintaining our ability to navigate or function in culture. In other words we are able to choose what our beliefs are, capitalist, socialist, religionist etc, or varying mixes of all that is available, as is more often the case. Plus what we ourselves create/introduce via the independent creative process, the more of which process enables greater personal freedom from the known/GIVEN.
Therefore the battle is always for our minds, the less we think independently the more we think collectively, that is, what we are trained to think by the dominant cultural discourse. Be aware of what I like to call the 'media drip-feed,' which is scripted for us by of course those that own and control media and information systems and other commercial vested interests. Unplug yourself from this 'drip-feed' by conscious decision/volition and then watch how it works on others – political correctness for instance, enslaves – while you remain freer/stronger to think for yourself and how YOU wish to conduct YOUR life.
And for the few that persevere and pursue this self-analysis, which increases awareness, to its conclusion I can promise a freer life/existence and an increased ability to deal with culture. As the constraints of finite thought/culture weaken dramatically you are guaranteed to discover something truly wonderful -- which is that you are a perfectly FREE cosmic, INFINITE being. Though this outcome is only for the few.
[Share around if you are of a mind -- and remember there is no external social freedom until internal personal freedom is first achieved.]
