Venezuela and Possible US Military intervention -- A Total No-Win Situation
by darcy Wednesday, Feb 6 2019, 8:41pm
international / prose / post

It takes resurrected neocon psychopaths like John Bolton to threaten war in Venezuela and that after withdrawing from two major failed wars in Syria and Afghanistan. However, clearly Washington foreign policy neocons have not thought it through as the vast majority of Venezuelans (85%) passionately refuse and would fight against any foreign intervention, particularly from blood-drenched, interfering American hands. That 'minor' factor is ignored (by the western mass media) though it portends a HUGE RESISTANCE, which implications Bolton and his neocon ilk have not properly considered, notwithstanding Chinese and Russian support for the elected sitting president, Maduro.

Putin and Xi couldn’t be happier, in fact their lack of strong discourse on the coup matter is inviting Bolton to give it a go, which foolish attempt would of course fail but not after a massive American cost, should sanity not prevail in Washington. In reality the coup has already failed, as the vast majority continues to support Maduro not the American hand-picked usurper. So Vietnam redux here we come should Bolton get his way, and therein lies Putin’s and Xi's joy.

The Venezuelan people, supported by Russia and China, would immerse America in another costly failed war but knowing Putin’s mind, he would draw it out as long as he could to deplete and irreversibly weaken America’s military capability, after all the troops utilised in Syria and Afghanistan have been withdrawn for the express purpose of dealing with what Bolton calls “the troika of tyranny” in Latin America, which advertises the fact that American resources are already stretched to the limit.

This Latin Vietnam would be fought by other fascist, Washington compliant nations (Colombia etc) against the Bolivarian socialists -- well, the strategy worked in Yugoslavia so why not in Venezuela? Answer, history and time, what worked on a naive world yesterday clearly fails today, not that Bolton and his fellow psychopaths learn from history, so yea, give it your best shot Bolton, Pence and Pompeo -- lol. As Sun Tzu states in his masterpiece on the Art of War, victory becomes a known outcome if all factors are considered and played strategically before a shot is fired, to paraphrase.

Indeed, if America is foolish and/or DESPERATE enough to intervene militarily in Venezuela then Russia, China and other allies would have a field day reducing American power and the American economy to subsistence levels. The continuing death throe (QE) of printing money from air would indeed assist in the demise of the already faltering dollar and once that is achieved the entire American nation would fail in every respect, as its one (only) support mechanism today is the dollar, it pays to diversify, doodles.

Now watch and learn analysts and commentators, and see how experienced and astute international players would lure America into another quagmire with the aim of breaking its 'back' (the dollar) once and for all. America would be forced to print more money from air to fight a prolonged war of attrition in Latin America. So Cuba and Nicaragua, remain calm and ready your troops for Venezuela, should the need arise. Che is gloating in his grave.
