Energy is Power, Literally

The gambit is afoot, and it’s not the usual illegal oil appropriation THEFT (Iraq, Libya) for corporate profits, it’s far broader. Venezuela has huge oil reserves, enough to affect global markets if fully exploited which in turn affects those nations which rely heavily on oil and gas exports to sustain their local economies, Russia and China for instance. The former due to its narrow based energy supply economy, the latter for reasons of continued international development projects. Now, Russia didn’t fly two state of the art nuclear Tu-160 bombers to Venezuela for nothing. If the US succeeds (illegally) in taking control over Venezuelan resources it would clearly use that control to seriously impact the narrow based Russian economy, as it depends on oil and gas exports for the larger part of its national income while China is affected for other reasons, it must continue to develop its projects and oil/energy supply is a crucial factor.
This transparent coup game is not what it appears to be on the surface, it is about global energy politics and controlling markets via energy resource domination, and then negatively or positively affecting other national economies via that means, hence the two nuclear bombers as a Russian show of force and advertisement that Russia could be devastated by impacts on global markets if they are manipulated by anti-Russian interests.
Very little emphasis to date has been given to this crucial factor by the media, though recently various commentators on alt-media outlets are turning their attention to the BIG GAME, energy power politics and economic warfare, which is to my mind the real game afoot in Venezuela.
And so, though Russia and China are attempting to play it quietly to date it is far from quiet in its implications. If America appears to be succeeding in taking Venezuela there will be a monumental shit-fight between superpowers, which has the potential to trigger a military hot-war, of that be assured. So it all depends on whether the legitimate government, with Russian and Chinese assistance, and the people of Venezuela succeed in maintaining their sovereignty, we shall see, as the stakes are very high indeed.
