Today most western nations/societies live in an intellectually depleted or deficient world primarily due to elite formulated design implemented in order to maintain elite minority rule -- populations have intentionally and effectively been ‘dumbed down.’ Western cultures have been continually subjected to reductionist slogans and opened ended, unqualified metaphors, the most infamous of which is, “there is light at the end of the tunnel,” in reference to the Vietnam war, and the meaningless unqualified MAGA, or “Make America Great Again," and the list goes on. HOWEVER, these reductionist slogans and absurd metaphors do NOT reflect the REAL (world) as they are ALWAYS unqualified. In other words if we ask, what fuckin’ tunnel and light, or how do we make America great, etc, no answers are provided, only more nonsensical falsities and FICTIONS? And these are ONLY two examples taken from the soup or witches brew we call culture or more accurately, ‘crowd management’ today?
Indeed, the ‘tunnel and light’ metaphor, due to its unqualified nature, forces the public to invest meaning in an otherwise meaningless, open ended, disconnected phrase. What does this “tunnel” or “light” actually mean? What relation do these WORDS have with a losing Vietnam war and if taken literally, do tunnels in reality always open to light? Clearly, the nonsensical ‘tunnel and light’ promises or explains NOTHING other than WISHFUL thinking on the part of those that invest meaning into a meaningless vacuum of meaningless phrases and unqualified slogans!
However, I am not here concerned with the gullibility of the moronic (explained shortly) masses but the effects of constant subjection to such crowd management devices on culture as a whole.
Psychologists are aware that humans seek meaning and order in their lives and where no meaning is provided the mind of the subject fills in the gaps with subjective interpretations/projections; and if the matter relates to something dire most humans would invest a meaning that pleases them and is hopeful. None of this is obscure, the human social condition is well studied and is more known that other branches of psychology, though you needn’t be a psychologist to understand basic human nature.
Nixon consciously (for political purposes) prolonged a losing war, to the cost of thousands of Americans lives, with that ‘light-tunnel’ metaphor, and of course Trump, to the regret of the nation, sits in the oval office doing very few ‘great’ things.
Whatever effect you may attribute to meaningless metaphors or open-ended, UNQUALIFIED slogans, they clearly work to varying extents. But everything has a cost. And that cost for American culture is imbecility. In the absence of real substantive problematic material to engage the discriminating mind the intellect atrophies and the emotional centres are accentuated along with basic or reptilian animal responses, and the more conditions to that effect continue the more the intellect suffers while people are reduced to retarded almost animal status, easily herded by their sinister elite masters. Reason is overcome by subjectivity and raw emotion, a very dangerous outcome as it does not favour survival, as survival is dependent on understanding the real objective world, to which the American public is now chronically averse.
False hopes and wishful thinking are no substitute for practical solutions, as we all should know, that is, if you’re not an American.
And so the future for America is indeed dire for a number of related reasons, not least of which is elite management of the population, which has reduced the viability of that culture, as is now plain to see, as other nations/cultures scream ahead in almost every field of endeavour, with the exception of course of marketing, media propaganda and advertising -- LOL!
