A Terminally Ill Species

It staggers belief how/why the global majority are NOT up in arms about runaway climate change, which effects promise a future of catastrophic proportions even the possibility of human extinction. It’s called the lemming effect, whereby short term thinking leaders lead followers over the precipice to their deaths, the masses gleefully charging to their demise without cognitive awareness of consequences.

The above observable reality, notwithstanding humans today are the only species that abuse their offspring which is key to the non-survival of a species, spell doom in no uncertain terms and a degree is not required to open your eyes and see. The needless suffering of millions of children world-wide indicates that something essential for the survival of the species is missing, namely care, nurture and equipping our young with survival skills, as wild animals do so well. Yet humans consider themselves the ‘higher’ species, which perverse notion is only supported by its planetary domination, a domination marked by destruction not progression for the greater good.

Mutual cooperation and mutual aid within the group, which factors were pivotal to human success, have been abandoned and replaced with humans competing against each to the point of mass murdering each other. These behaviours are NOT instinctive as comparative analyses of early humans and today’s humans indicate, while of course wild animals have not forgone their instinctive natures from which their survival mechanisms function.

So clearly the destructive changes that have occurred in humanity have been learned, they are of cultural origin though mixed with some instinctive survival mechanisms via emotive responses though contorted to the extreme today.

It becomes a simple matter to weigh the factors contributing to today’s perverse humanity to arrive at a clear conclusion -- UN-TENABILITY. Indeed, if humans do not return to the behaviours and values they once possessed the species is FINISHED, as is readily known/witnessed by many varied social and other scientists.

Never before has any species been able to affect the life outcomes of all life on earth, a very dangerous precedent/threshold, which of course would be fine if that species were sane and in touch with its core Self, wherein an awareness of its dependence on the environment, which supports it, is of known critical importance; but what do we see instead? Human lemmings determined to plunge to their deaths, driven by superimposed false belief systems/values not instinctive, group-supportive values.

Clearly our abused children indicate, without the need to mention runaway climate change, an obvious illness that has infected almost all humanity today, some traditional cultures being the only exceptions. So without labouring the point I would suggest that we, for survival’s sake, eliminate by all and every means available, our suicidal supremely SICK leaders that think only of themselves and short term ‘gain’ and replace them with SANE, aware and responsible leaders that consider the welfare of the species, not their private bank accounts. The principal duty/responsibility of all leaders is to ENSURE the tenability of the species over the LONG term.

The social illness that affects us all today, whether we suffer from it or not, is clearly terminal, of this there is absolutely no doubt.

Now consider, in view of the long history of human evolution, why the overwhelming majority is INCAPABLE of any positive action that would ensure human survival by eradicating the destructive forces that threaten all of us and the harmony of all life on this PLANET. And that major, obvious FAILURE is only ONE symptom of the illness that infects us all.
