Information Overload and its Consequences

The most notable of which are social myopia, tuning into info that only supports one’s views, dreams and illusions, and of course its consequence, social paralysis in the face of urgent required action, climate chaos for example.

Whether designed or consequential, the overwhelming amount of freely available information today has created blindness, broken spirits and social apathy, not freedom, awareness and vital societies.

One need only make a cursory study of those born and raised in the digital era to see the obvious, selective blindness and destroyed common values, which are essential to any progressive and healthy society, where matters affecting the well being of all are dealt with before they become irreversible and highly destructive problems.

It is almost beyond comprehension why in the face of the most critical environmental problem (climate change) the human race has ever faced little or no real preventive action occurs. Indeed, the elite owned mass media contributes to this massive failure by perpetuating binary arguments rather than marshaling the masses to reform the currently destructive status quo; yes, the profits of corporate polluters must not be compromised and so their media arm floods the masses with trivial irrelevancies and petty divisive material, while millions continue to die in needless wars for profit and the indulgences of mega wealthy sociopaths.

If history has taught us anything it is that wars do NOT solve problems, they create them, yet the mass media saturates the public with war related ‘news’ while of course omitting to mention that those responsible for all wars are the avaricious, greedy and acquisitive elites which think nothing of destroying entire societies that have existed for thousands of years.

However, do these real tragic matters affect western populations and motivate them to easily discover the causes and prevention of wars -- acquisitive psychopathic elites -- which today use designed and engineered debt slavery to constrain and control the masses, while they appropriate and hog the majority of available global wealth and assets? Wealth disparity today has almost reached the level of disparity between the slaves and Pharaohs of ancient Egypt, yet like ancient Egyptian society people choose to serve rich elites, the IT industry for example, where wages are considerably higher than average, however, they pale in comparison to what these multi-billion dollar companies earn, is that a fair distribution of worker earned profits? NO, it’s simply a higher form of slave wage. Rather than organise and bring to heel executive parasites, people choose to serve them and so social harmony/unity is lost while equality and equitable distributions of wealth become pipe dreams.

I need not continue the point is made though many could add to the above examples of unfairness, injustice and perverse directions; however, as is abundantly clear today, reversing the nihilistic status quo is nigh impossible, generations are now born into slavery and are unable to even imagine a world without it. Real Freedom is unattainable if its meaning is lost or cannot be comprehended, so continue to focus myopically on your enslaving digital device -- the show is over because no-one gives a fuck!
