text Does America Have Any Sense of Reality? Paul Craig Roberts via les, Friday, May 3 2019, 12:19am
We are having a propaganda barrage about the great Trump economy. We have been hearing about the great economy for a decade while the labor force participation rate declined, real family incomes stagnated, and debt burdens rose. The economy has been great only for large equity owners whose stock ownership benefited from the trillions of dollars the Fed poured into financial markets and from buy-backs by corporations of their own stocks.

text Assange Sentenced in UK AAP staff report via cyd, Wednesday, May 1 2019, 11:42am
Assange has been given almost the maximum sentence in the UK for jumping bail, one year. All appeals for leniency were predictably ignored by the British judge as this sentence would give ample time for Swedish and American legal representatives to mount their own cases against Assange. Indeed, there is no doubt whatsoever that justice has not been served -- Assange's tribulations have only just begun. Courts are only lawful, legal and serve the people when impartial and you could smell partiality from Sydney Australia.

text Dangerous Games Washington Plays -- Another Failed Coup Attempt in Venezuela Venezuelanalysis via juan, Tuesday, Apr 30 2019, 9:58pm
Pretend president and Washington puppet, Juan Guaido and a freed from incarceration, Leopoldo Lopez who attempted a coup against Chavez, mounted a paltry coup attempt against the legitimate government of Maduro and the people of Venezuela. Of course this feeble, desperate measure failed as little support for it was manifest, though a handful of masked rebel soldiers and police participated.

text Humpty [America] Dumpty Has Had a Great Fall Paul Craig Roberts via gayle, Monday, Apr 29 2019, 8:18pm
While the crazed and corrupt people who comprise the Democratic Party and US print and TV media continue to insist that Russiagate is real, a very real threat is emerging in Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. The threat arises from the fact that Washington has taught each country to have no trust in America’s veracity. The governments of the four countries have learned that everything Washington says is a lie.

PDF Document Post-Modern America stella, Saturday, Apr 27 2019, 9:42pm
The movement of Post-Modernism, originally formulated by leading french academics has flowered today in American society but it's not what was intended, if anything 'positive' was intended, the hope was that it could be used successfully to subvert the power structures of ruling elites and traditional authority; however, it backfired dramatically! text The American Model Does NOT Work in Other Nations james, Friday, Apr 26 2019, 11:50pm
To play reductionist for a moment, the American model could easily be reduced to 'user pays' (for everything) and the surrender of all social institutions to the private sector, including the judicial system. In this way all available money/power becomes concentrated in the private corporate/banking sectors. Well, the world is able to witness the results of this robber baron system. America has been reduced to a 99% and 1% social structure, 'the haves and the have nots,' to put it plainly. America has become a two tier society of elites and uneducated ignorant slaves that are easily led by the elite owned mass media apparatus. And so what do we really have in America? The loss of Liberty, and freedom is everything in democratic societies!

text The War on Truth Jordan Hall via claire, Thursday, Apr 25 2019, 10:54pm
I’d like to propose that we are already fighting World War III. We are not merely getting perilously close or waiting for the other shoe to drop. We are neck deep in the battle for the mind.

bigb.jpg image The Next Drawn Out Mass Media DISTRACTION – Assange lucy, Thursday, Apr 25 2019, 1:36am
The ridiculous – no evidence from day one – Mueller investigation is over. Yet it served its INTENDED purpose, to distract the media and the public away from the real critical issues that affect everyone. (story and 2 images)

text The News Is ... jason, Wednesday, Apr 24 2019, 11:42pm
Today and over the past two decades it (news) follows scripts, false narratives designed by ruling elites and disseminated by their privately owned propaganda arm, the mass media – absolutely nothing in the mass media is worth reading unless you prefer fiction, distortions, omissions of facts and DISTRACTION, which is its chief commission/purpose – would you expect anything else from a plutocrat owned mass media?

text Criminal States Within Democratic States jess, Sunday, Apr 21 2019, 2:23am
It's tragically laughable that anyone in a western democracy today imagines that their leaders are the people's representatives, clearly they serve elite business interests, which own all western governments -- effectively democracy is dead and buried.

text Assange, Mass Media and the Art of Distraction lex, Sunday, Apr 21 2019, 12:09am
A recent article on Assange, written by Jonathan Cook, essentially describes what media studies students and analysts know to be the tricks of the trade, the foremost being distraction or shifting focus from the questionable and compromising to other less pertinent 'salad dressing' issues. In this way the media-nose-ringed masses are LED as they do not discriminate, they CONSUME.

text Venezuela – Quiet Before the Storm? Peter Koenig via jaxie, Friday, Apr 19 2019, 10:44pm
The silence is almost deafening. Is it the quiet before the storm? – Or is the US giving up on Venezuela? I don’t think so. It’s more like a regrouping after a first defeat, well, it’s a multiple defeat, if we start counting since the failed coup attempt against Hugo Chavez on 11 April 2002.

text Pentagon Spending is Bleeding America Dry Jake Johnson via james, Friday, Apr 19 2019, 10:22pm
It seems the American people would rather see their hard earned tax dollars go to endless illegal wars and weapons manufacturers rather than to critical social services, education, health, the environment and to maintaining a failing infrastructure; well so be it, but even a modicum of research reveals that ONLY the military industrial complex benefits from these monumental tax-payer funds to the Pentagon. Average Americans see no benefit whatsoever, as it is the mammoth corporations and Wall St.banks that take all the ill-gotten profits that the Pentagon provides via its ongoing illegal wars.

And so we say enjoy it, you ignorant, exploited, and gutless doodle dandies, the most slavish, cowardly and easily managed population in the WORLD. Suck on it!

text An Empire of Bullshit and the Sordid Art of Mass Media DISTRACTION James Howard Kunstler via james, Friday, Apr 19 2019, 9:35pm
Prior to proceeding to the article some basic FACTS require airing AGAIN. From day one of the fabricated "Russiagate" investigation headed by deep state servant Mueller, absolutely NO SUBSTANTIVE EVIDENCE was produced though if any such evidence existed the NSA, as per its commission, would certainly have produced it. The two year Mueller investigation was/is PURE FARCE/RUSE as is now obvious; however, it succeeded in distracting the public away from the REAL issues, wealth disparity, inequality, climate crisis, perpetual illegal wars and illegal regime change AND EXPOSING the sordid machinations of deep state CRIMINALS that have HIJACKED the American State.

If the American people are so easily distracted, like a child with candy, then the society is clearly lost to the false narratives/fictions of the privately owned, CFR managed mass media, which serves only criminal elite agendas NOT the public interest.
