The Missing $21 TRILLION from Pentagon
David DeGraw via jane, Wednesday, Jul 4 2018, 1:22am
Gone are the early days of corruption when Don Rumsfeld publicly announced that $2-3 trillion was unaccounted for at the Pentagon. The investigation was stifled by the fact that most of the paperwork was disintegrated when a missile/plane struck the Pentagon directly where the papers were housed, so TOO, the remainder of the papers incinerated at the government offices in WTC building 7, you remember the building that was struck by a supersonic pigeon on September 11, as nothing impacted that building, yet down it went with perfect demolition precision. But how convenient for white and military collared criminals -- the evidence was gone! (story and 1 image)

The EPIC Failure of the Skripal Poisoning Fairy Tale
George Galloway via rob, Wednesday, Jul 4 2018, 12:33am
"Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast" – Alice in Wonderland. The problem for the British narrative in the Skripal case is that one would have to believe way more than six things.

America, The Rapidly Failing State
Chris Hedges via stella, Monday, Jul 2 2018, 7:38am
Most people have had the daunting experience of being trapped in a nightmare, cornered, threatened and paralyzed with fear only to wake up in a cold sweat relieved that it was only a bad dream but traumatized nevertheless. Well, citizens, prepare yourselves, as Americans are collectively living a nightmare today. (story and 1 image)

At War With Ourselves: The Domestic Consequences of Foreign Policies
Will Porter via jon, Saturday, Jun 30 2018, 6:19am
In recent months a string of school shootings in the United States has rekindled the debate over gun violence, its causes and what can be done to stop it. But amid endless talk of school shootings and AR-15s, a large piece of the puzzle has been left conspicuously absent from the debate.

EU Establishment Appeases Italy & Other Anti-migrant Govts in Bid to Salvage Bloc’s Survival
Finian Cunningham via jan, Saturday, Jun 30 2018, 6:04am
Despite dire predictions of a European Union meltdown, the leaders’ summit this week appeared to succeed in delivering a compromise agreement on dealing with the troublesome refugee issue for which America should take full responsibility due to its disastrous string of Middle East and North African wars, which have displaced tens of millions of innocent citizens that would otherwise have remained in their home nations.

The Greatest Lies Ever Told
Em Sos via jenny, Saturday, Jun 30 2018, 5:42am
The Greatest Lies Ever Told seem to be oozing up from the graves of our ancestors and are definitely once again coming back home to haunt us. And as is the wont, man unkind, yet again, is attempting to put the genie back into the bottle, rather than face his own folly while History ceaselessly continues to remorselessly repeat itself, especially in our present moment. Democratic Socialism Surges in America
Jake Johnson via terri, Saturday, Jun 30 2018, 12:03am
Since Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's stunning primary win over Rep. Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday, interest in democratic socialism—the label Ocasio-Cortez unabashedly uses to describe her platform and political outlook—has surged exponentially, prompting corporate TV networks to feature segments on the term and driving a record-breaking membership boost for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

The Doomed Middle Class
Steve Donoghue via claire, Friday, Jun 29 2018, 11:34pm
The following essay applies to all western nations to a greater or lesser extent. A new feudalism has been emerging over the past few decades characterised by a new mega-wealthy elite aristocracy and everyone else reduced to indentured (debt) serfs by elite design.

Two Views of the Putin/Trump Summit
Paul Craig Roberts via cyd, Friday, Jun 29 2018, 1:39am
The meeting that the Deep State strived to make impossible with fabricated “Russiagate” assertions and an orchestrated “investigation” by Mueller has now been set in place by no less than Deep State neocon operative John Bolton. Patrick Lang explains how this came about:

America's Failure to Oust Assad and the Dismal Prospects for its Proxy Jihadi Fighters
Robert Fisk via stella, Friday, Jun 29 2018, 1:29am
When Washington ‘understands the difficult conditions’ its militia allies are facing and says it ‘advises’ the Russians and Syrians not to violate a ceasefire – which was Moscow’s idea in the first place – you know that the Americans are pulling the carpet from beneath another set of extremist 'allies.'

Trump’s Idiotic Victimisation of Mexicans and Latinos
skye, Thursday, Jun 28 2018, 11:20pm
Not so long ago (2006) dubya Bush threatened to deport all illegal immigrants from America, the response was immediate and stunning. Almost overnight 500,000 Latinos hit the streets of LA and clogged the freeways in a show of force, demonstrating how quickly and easily a united front could wreak havoc if provoked. Well, needless to say, Bush and his fascist administration backflipped on the policy immediately and calm prevailed. (story and 1 image)

Justice for all in America: A Meaningless Figure of Speech
Stephen Lendman via ned, Wednesday, Jun 27 2018, 9:47pm
Injustice in America is deep-seated. It’s politicized – the poor, people of color, Muslims and others disadvantaged and marginalized are denied constitutionally guaranteed due process and equal justice under law with disturbing regularity.
The world’s largest gulag prison system by far is testimony to a nation serving privileged interests over others. America is disdainful of the nation’s least advantaged, thousands are incarcerated for misdemeanors and political reasons.
