The Massive Failure of Julian Assange

From the outset it became abundantly clear that Assange pursued a personal agenda, it was all about him and HIS pursuits of exposing state corruption and crimes, not that that corruption wasn’t previously known. People -- with the exception of Americans -- are not stupid, it was/is universally known that elected ‘democratic’ governments do NOT represent the people/majority, they serve powerful minority interests, the media plutocrats and oligarchs that placed them in ‘power’ though the real power rests with the oligarchs that install and depose national leaders like they change shirts, historical FACT!

The above is well known to be the case, aspiring, usually narcisstic politicians LIE through their teeth to assume power then backflip on all promises made to the people and immediately begin to serve minority interests; clearly that is not democracy, it is TREASON.

So what’s new and how does this reality reflect on Assange? Quite simply Assange FORGOT, or was blinded by self-seeking, to serve and address the people’s cause, his ego, agenda and pursuits were all about HIM, Self, EGO, ‘look what I did, aren’t I wonderful?’

And so he failed massively to garner universal public support by neglecting to frame his pursuits in the public’s interest, which he took for granted; harnessing the public’s disillusionment and discontent is NOT difficult today, however, Assange’s primary concerns, were and are all about ‘look what I did,’ not look what I am DOING for YOU -- and Assange is reputed to be intelligent, well, not that I can determine, as without public support all 'individuals' that tamper with State powers/politics FAIL, pure and simple, as the ONLY antidote to State crimes and corruption is the masses; the masses are the ONLY force able to dislodge governments at ANY time and so Assange is paying the price for his well known vanity/egotism, while he currently wallows and LEARNS from his gross failure, as it’s too late now, the criminal powers are closing in and the people/masses, couldn’t care less.

Indeed, human frailty and extreme narcissism are pre-requisites for personal failure, I’ve seen it a million times in all areas of social endeavour. Yet when I interrogate these victims of their own folly, few indeed admit that it was all of their own (un)doing, but such is the perceptual blindness induced by self-centredness, a tragic fault/folly.

When viewing the masses as a single powerful social entity that entity must be viewed as a mean, average person and making arrogant and elitist statements like having “martinis with his (elite) friends,” does NOT serve the interests of any SOCIAL reformer. The people soon woke to the fact, consciously and unconsciously, that Assange was/is NOT one of them and so Assange now wallows essentially unsupported in his most critical time of need, a need that only the overwhelming masses could satisfy.

Self-seeking for whatever reason, fame, notoriety, power or whatever, always ends in disaster if the support of powerful interests, the most powerful being the masses, is lacking -- essentially it’s all over before it starts. Now consider how easily Assange COULD have harnessed the power of the masses by clearly indicating that all his efforts were designed to free the people from State crime and oppression, Assange failed to become a ‘CHAMPION of the PEOPLE.’ Indeed, that major failure ensured Assange’s demise, if he took a more, it’s all about us, NOT ME, approach, he could have succeeded in huge social reforms and probably would have gone down in history as an outstanding leader though leadership is tricky, it is critical that all leaders constantly, or cynically appear, to battle for the masses, only that political tactic/strategy ensures success when taking on powerful States. However, as with most of Assange’s generation and after, ‘it’s all about ME!’ And that is the major failing of those generations as it ends in alienation and ostracism, as clearly, hardly a ripple world-wide is seen in support of EGO-centric Assange, but regretably, it’s too late now for Julian.
