Begin with Impeachment But End with a Reformed Democratic Society
Chris Hedges via gayle, Friday, Sep 27 2019, 7:53pm
Impeachment is about cosmetics. It is about replacing the public face of empire with a political mandarin such as Joe Biden, himself steeped in corruption and obsequious service to the rich and corporate power, who will carry out the same suicidal policies with appropriate regal decorum. The ruling elites have had enough of Trump’s vulgarity, stupidity and staggering ineptitude. They turned on him not over an egregious impeachable offense—there have been numerous impeachable offenses including the use of the presidency for personal enrichment, inciting violence and racism, passing on classified intelligence to foreign officials, obstruction of justice and a pathological inability to tell the truth—but because he made the fatal mistake of trying to take down a fellow member of the ruling elite. Decaying Militaries
Fred Reed via mitch, Friday, Sep 27 2019, 12:14am
Unused militaries today spell antiquation therefore loss. Simply look at a bunch of ragtag Houthis, Afghanis and before them Vietnamese that have made a monkey out of US military supremacy, a MYTH today. How is it that the Taliban is not able to be defeated in the field, or the Houthis against billions of dollars in the latest US weaponry, which failed to prevent a devastating attack on Saudi's most crucial economic infrastructure? The answer is plain, America, largely due to profit seeking weapons corporations look FIRST to the bottom line and all else becomes secondary, whereas other nations have their survival to think of, therefore it reduces to profit vs survival and it doesn't take a genius to work out which motivating force wins.
The American navy is antiquated, multi-billion dollar US carriers, once the pride of the fleet, are today reduced to floating steel coffins by Russian and Chinese hypersonic anti-carrier missiles built at an infinitesimal cost in comparison.

Climate Conspiracy?
F. William Engdahl via cyd, Thursday, Sep 26 2019, 12:21pm
Whatever one may believe about the dangers of CO2 and risks of global warming creating a global catastrophe of 1.5 to 2 degree Celsius average temperature rise in the next roughly 12 years, it is worth noting who is promoting the current flood of propaganda and climate activism. (story and 1 image)

Globalising 'Artificial Intelligent' Surveillance
Binoy Kampmark via gus, Wednesday, Sep 25 2019, 11:12pm
They all do it: corporations, regimes, authorities. They all have the same reasons: efficiency, serviceability, profitability, all under the umbrella term of “security”. Call it surveillance, or call it monitoring the global citizenry; it all comes down to the same thing. You are being watched for your own good, and such instances should be regarded as a norm. 'How Dare You!': Greta Thunberg Rages at 'Fairytales of Eternal Economic Growth'
Eoin Higgins via jane, Tuesday, Sep 24 2019, 12:39am
Get your priorities straight -- "Entire ecosytems are collapsing. We are at the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money." So says a teenager concerned for the welfare of the world, but of course the Corporations and Bankers are not listening, so what has to be done, as little/Big Greta is perfectly correct? Do unto Others Before They Do unto YOU!
jake, Monday, Sep 23 2019, 11:24pm
The last dynamic and successful civil protests occurred during the late 60's, but they failed. True, the Vietnam protests eventually forced the US and lackey western allies to withdraw. True, US blacks gained some justice, etc, BUT the reaction of elite rulers during this crisis period (for them) was swift and devastating, a planned (without doubt) spate of assassinations saw almost all visionary leaders of this global movement abruptly terminated with pure violence/murder. Subsequently, the global movement due to a lack of leadership, lost its way and fizzled out. Quite simply it was destroyed by the mass murdering parasitic elites that own all western governments.

Show Us the Footage!
major mitchell, Sunday, Sep 22 2019, 10:20pm
One of the most surveilled buildings in the world is the Pentagon. YET the hundreds of cameras that RECORDED surveillance footage on that 9/11 fateful day has been confiscated by the FBI and CIA. Now, we KNOW that ample evidence of a jetliner hitting the Pentagon would have been recorded from approach to impact which it was, and that information should have been utilized to support the claim of a foreign terrorist attack, notwithstanding revealing the miraculous piloting skills of the pilot of the jetliner which allegedly impacted the Pentagon. However, no credible footage has ever been released to the public and we must ask WHY, as there would be no better evidence of a foreign terrorist attack.

Tulsi Gabbard Calls Out Trump for Deferring War Decision to Medieval Arab State
jess, Friday, Sep 20 2019, 11:46pm
Gabbard is perfectly in order to criticise puppet Trump for surrendering his presidential prerogative to Saudi Arabia. Trump, supreme coward and puppet-in-chief cannot make a decision to commit or otherwise, America to a potentially calamitous war with Iran, so what does he do? Leaves the decision to a bunch of proven incompetent Arabs. Whoever would have imagined American would have become so lost and weak today? Home of the brave and land of the free, my arse! Shia Unity and its Protector/Guardian Iran
jalal, Thursday, Sep 19 2019, 10:38pm
I need not emphasise the FACT that the CFR managed western mass media is jaundiced, and that's putting it mildly. The verifiable reality on the ground in the entire Middle East, though I do not expect the western masses on the matrix media drip-feed to investigate and arrive at the truth, is that Shia Muslims are the majority in ALL oil producing areas of the Middle East including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE etc, when I say ALL oil producing areas in numerous nations, I mean it, verify it for yourselves if you have the nous to do so. MoA via dee, Wednesday, Sep 18 2019, 10:11pm
Over the last decades Russia and Iran were both forced by US threats to develop defensive weaponry to protect themselves against an ever growing threat from the United States and its puppet allies. Both found unique ways to build deterrence and countermeasures that fit their respective situations.

Careering into WWIII
reg, Tuesday, Sep 17 2019, 10:56pm
Looking at the current critically explosive situation in the Middle East objectively, one can't help but ask how, why and for what supposedly important reasons are Israel, the US and ally Saudi Arabia dragging the entire WORLD into a nuclear holocaust. In which scenario clearly no-one wins, despite the insane ravings of Washington neocon hawks that a nuclear conflict could be 'won.'

James Murdoch Unmistakeably Opposes Media Mogul Father
Luke O'Neil via nancy, Monday, Sep 16 2019, 9:15pm
Rupert Murdoch, CFR member and media mogul cannot escape the personal conflicts in family life, it appears his eldest son James, who Rupert had high hopes for, strongly disagrees with the partial, mis-informative 'news' that his father specialises in. In a recent interview with the New Yorker James let loose in no uncertain terms, though of course with polite and respectful tones. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but reveal the truth as a deep insider of Rupert Murdoch's media empire, which secretive Rupert now uses as a socially manipulative tool to undermine the freedoms we all once shared and enjoyed, and note in the article that James' new foundation, Quadrivium, refers to the term "FASCIST" in context. Saudi $295 billion defense budget failed to protect oil installations from ragtag Houthi rebels
Abdus-Sattar Ghazali via lex, Sunday, Sep 15 2019, 8:41pm
The USA and its servile western vassals should mark this lesson well, every nation has a soft, easily targeted underbelly. Modern Asymmetric warfare allows for any low budget group to attack and seriously compromise any nation it chooses, the bigger and more powerful the better. Watch and learn how 'the bigger they are, the harder they FALL!' No one in today's high tech, inexpensive weapons world is without considerable power and influence, 'superpower' is MYTH, a cumbersome elephant cannot hope to swat a mosquito targeting its genitalia. Be advised and warned all concerned, criminal nations.

Why I Don’t Speak of the Fake News of “9/11” Anymore
Edward Curtin via reg, Sunday, Sep 15 2019, 12:34am
Tuesday, September 11, 2001, was a non-teaching day for me. I was home when the phone rang at 9 A.M. It was my daughter, who was on a week’s vacation with her future husband. “Turn on the TV,” she said. “Why?” I asked. “Haven’t you heard? A plane hit the World Trade Tower.”

The Inevitable Political Implosion of the Jewish State
Gilad Atzmon via joan, Saturday, Sep 14 2019, 10:10pm
Indeed, extremism in any group leads to its self-destruction. Once unity, freedom and social harmony are forfeited to extremist ideologies it's all but over for that group, State or nation. The argument/conflict is fuelled by each political faction attempting to outdo the other as the bigger/'better' ultra-right Fascist group, and as fascism in all its forms is contractive/hyper-authoritarian, which situation imposes stricter and more suffocating views/policies, it all ends in entropic self-annihilation.
