text The Eagle, the Bear and the Dragon Pepe Escobar via james, Sunday, May 12 2019, 10:09pm
Once upon a time, deep into the night in selected campfires across the deserts of Southwest Asia, I used to tell a fable about the eagle, the bear and the dragon – much to the amusement of my Arab and Persian interlocutors.

John Bolton, proven mass murdering psychopath image Bolton Playing Trump Like a Fiddle on Iran Ann Wright via jane, Sunday, May 12 2019, 8:14pm
It matters not that Bolton plays Trump so easily, the world is aware; it's a demonstration of how a sociopath deceives an IGNORANT, INEPT, no-account president suffering from NPD, but NOTE that both are text book psychiatric cases. If war comes of Bolton's and Pompeo's transparent, malign efforts -- with Israel pulling all the strings in the background -- which nation would be the instigator (planned) of any war with Iran, these efforts will FAIL as Russia and China today support their allies. So if it's war Israel and America want, WAR they will get, but on a far greater scale than they anticipate. (story and 2 images)

The Triumvirate of FAILURE; Pompeo Middle, flanked by Bolton and Pence image Mike Pompeo Pissing in the Wind in Iraq Robert Fisk via stella, Sunday, May 12 2019, 7:28pm
Mike Pompeo went to put the thumbscrews on the Iraqi government this week. No more electrical power from Iran, he told them, and make sure those pesky Iranians don’t attack our boys in that great American base in Iraq which Trump was boasting about. The New York Times numbingly told us that his trip was “shrouded in secrecy” – if only it had been. Then at least the US secretary of state could have paid a visit to Iran’s most important supporter in the Iraqi parliament. (story and 1 image)

text Dollar Hegemony – Key Purpose Behind Illegal “Regime Change” in Venezuela Peter Koenig via cyd, Saturday, May 11 2019, 11:53pm
Indeed, the cumbersome attempts by Washington to STEAL Venezuela's precious and huge OIL reserves are the real issue behind the transparent, media-hyped (failed) coup attempts in Venezuela and all the LIES that issue from the US propaganda/media apparatus. American corporate and banker ruling elites are panic-stricken that their international PARASITIC based economy is about to crumble, as indeed it will, it's only a matter of a very short time. And there's nothing other than a full fledged war with Russia and China, likely to win, according to the Rand corporation, that could alter the course/outcome of utter ruin for the USA.

text INJUSTICE in Plain Sight lex, Friday, May 10 2019, 8:27pm
In your face is the travesty unfolding regarding the persecution of Julian Assange for simply exposing U.S. war and other crimes against humanity, and exposing the intrigues of bought puppet U.S. politicians, yet few are outraged. So where does it lead? Criminals in high places prosper and expand their criminal enterprises/agendas. There are no excuses for cowardice, not supporting justice and opposing PROVEN criminals.

wailing_wall.jpg image Yahweh’s Trojan Horse into the Gentile City Laurent Guyénot via james, Friday, May 10 2019, 1:40am
I concluded an earlier article by what I regard as the most important “revelation” of modern biblical scholarship, one that has the potential to free the Western world from a two-thousand-year-old psychopathic bond: the jealous Yahweh was originally just the national god of Israel, repackaged into “the God of Heaven and Earth” during the Babylonian Exile, as part of a public relations campaign aimed at Persians, then Greeks and ultimately Romans. The resulting biblical notion that the universal Creator became Israel’s national god at the time of Moses, is thus exposed as a fictitious inversion of the historical process: in reality, it is the national god of Israel who, so to speak, impersonated the universal Creator at the time of Ezra—while remaining intensely ethnocentric. text Are You Ready for a Worse Dystopia than 1984? Paul Craig Roberts via jaxie, Friday, May 10 2019, 1:14am
The concerns about robots and artificial intelligence have come from scientists who express worries about killer robots with super intelligence taking over from dumber humans with less capabilities. Possibly, but it is more likely that these kind of concerns stem from an incorrect model or understanding of mind, consciousness, and creativity. I do wish that Michael Polanyi were still with us to give us his take on our proclivity to attribute intelligence to machines.

text 'D' is for Dictatorship NOT Democracy John W. Whitehead via jess, Friday, May 10 2019, 12:48am
“When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; a culture-death is a clear possibility.” — Professor Neil Postman, Amusing Ourselves to Death: Discourse in the Age of Show Business

text Natural-Unnatural jane, Tuesday, May 7 2019, 6:37pm
Interesting binary opposition no doubt as it involves the natural, ie NATURE, which has always been my guide NOT political correctness or any other IMPOSED (by the media), perverse cultural convention. And so viewing Rachel Maddow's, a dyke, recent diatribes regarding Venezuela and lunatic war hawk John Bolton, does not surprise me in the least – but allow me to qualify my attitude on homosexuality first.

text The Art of War and the Result lex, Sunday, May 5 2019, 9:27pm
According to Sun Tzu's classic, a “war is won or lost before the first battle begins,” to render it properly into English. Indeed, that is the case if strategic planning and tactics are superior to the enemy, which aspects are also outlined in Sun Tzu's classic treatise on War.

Pompeo: “My Faith in Jesus Christ Makes a Real Difference”

Pompeo says God may have sent Trump to save Israel from Iran

“As a Christian, I certainly believe that’s possible,” said Mr Pompeo….”I am confident that the Lord is at work here,”

Pence, a Catholic Evangelical who almost became a priest: “I made a commitment to Christ.”

text Does America Have Any Sense of Reality? Paul Craig Roberts via les, Friday, May 3 2019, 12:19am
We are having a propaganda barrage about the great Trump economy. We have been hearing about the great economy for a decade while the labor force participation rate declined, real family incomes stagnated, and debt burdens rose. The economy has been great only for large equity owners whose stock ownership benefited from the trillions of dollars the Fed poured into financial markets and from buy-backs by corporations of their own stocks.

text Assange Sentenced in UK AAP staff report via cyd, Wednesday, May 1 2019, 11:42am
Assange has been given almost the maximum sentence in the UK for jumping bail, one year. All appeals for leniency were predictably ignored by the British judge as this sentence would give ample time for Swedish and American legal representatives to mount their own cases against Assange. Indeed, there is no doubt whatsoever that justice has not been served -- Assange's tribulations have only just begun. Courts are only lawful, legal and serve the people when impartial and you could smell partiality from Sydney Australia.

text Dangerous Games Washington Plays -- Another Failed Coup Attempt in Venezuela Venezuelanalysis via juan, Tuesday, Apr 30 2019, 9:58pm
Pretend president and Washington puppet, Juan Guaido and a freed from incarceration, Leopoldo Lopez who attempted a coup against Chavez, mounted a paltry coup attempt against the legitimate government of Maduro and the people of Venezuela. Of course this feeble, desperate measure failed as little support for it was manifest, though a handful of masked rebel soldiers and police participated.

text Humpty [America] Dumpty Has Had a Great Fall Paul Craig Roberts via gayle, Monday, Apr 29 2019, 8:18pm
While the crazed and corrupt people who comprise the Democratic Party and US print and TV media continue to insist that Russiagate is real, a very real threat is emerging in Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. The threat arises from the fact that Washington has taught each country to have no trust in America’s veracity. The governments of the four countries have learned that everything Washington says is a lie.
